Romeo Winterfest 2022

Author:

Romeo’s Inaugural WinterFest took place this year on February 26th throughout the heart of Downtown Romeo. Throughout the month of February, participating businesses competed in giant snowmen decorating competitions to receive the coveted snowman trophy and the first business highlight on our new website. During this event, visitors were able to enjoy walking downtown and taking rides on a horse wagon provided by Silver Woods Farm. While touring the streets, visitors might have run into some princesses from the Crowns Against Cancer organization, Crazy Craig the stilt walker and maybe magician Mark Luedkte.

This event also featured a downtown Chili Cook-Off, sponsored and run by the Greater Romeo-Washington Chamber of Commerce and housed in the Masonic Lodge 41. During this event, contestants entered their homemade chili and were judged by County Executive Mark Hackel, Village President Christine Malzahn, and Romeo High School Principal Todd Robinson.
