The holidays are an extra charming time in downtown Romeo. Lights go up and bring an enchanting glow around town and magic for people of all ages. From the annual tree lighting festivities to visits with Santa and enjoying Christmas lights, there are a lot of ways to get in the spirit of the season at the Village. And plan to enjoy the decor downtown when in town for a meal at one of our many eateries, or gift shopping for a unique gift from our townâs local businesses.
Christmas Parade and Holiday Tree Lighting
Kick off the holidays by gathering downtown with the family for the Christmas parade up Main Street from 7-8:30 p.m. on December 5. Then enjoy live music and free refreshments at the tree lighting at Romeo Village Park, put on by Romeo Washington Bruce Parks & Recreation
Breakfast with Santa
Take your family to enjoy breakfast with the big man in red. Take the kids to meet and take photos with Saint Nicholas and enjoy a breakfast of pancakes, eggs and sausage at the Masonic Temple. There will also be activities and entertainment during the event. Tickets are $9 for residents, $14 for non-residents. Seating requests must be made ahead of time on the Romeo Parks & Recreation website.
The Annual Christmas Home Tour
Put on by the Romeo Historical Society, take a self-guided tour around town to see turn-of-the-century homes dressed up for the season from 1-7 p.m. on Saturday, December 7. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased with cash or check at:
