Romeo’s 2022 Arbor Day Celebration took place in the Romeo Village Park on Friday, April 29th. This event led by the Village Tree Board of Romeo featured multiple tree dedications at Amanda Moore Elementary School and the Kezar Branch of the Romeo District Library. During the day, 500 saplings were distributed to students at school and visitors to the afternoon event.

After traveling from Amanda Moore, visitors were greeted in the park by multiple local shops and food vendors, including 5 Degrees North Coffee Roasters, FAMS, Jayell’s Steakhouse, 4 Corners Diner, Juliet Chocolate Shop, Chatitias, Extra Credit Union, Verona Marketing, Romeo and Juliet Garden Club, and multiple individual vendors. At the park, local musical artists such as Ryan Romano, Henry Vanloon, and Ed and Gretchen Keifer played to keep spirits high. This event also featured a refreshment tent sponsored by the Romeo Lions Club and many different educational and activity stands led by the Village of Romeo Tree Board.
