The Romeo DDA is happy to announce that a new Executive Director will be starting on November 25! Please help us welcome Kay Pochert!

Kay Pochert brings over 27 years of finance and real estate industry experience to the Romeo DDA team. As a leader in business operations, Kay creates strategy and development plans that ensure we will meet our goals and drive our vision forward. Her passion is connecting with people and building relationships – something she will get to do a lot of as the Executive Director for Romeo DDA.

“Being a part of growing and strengthening our community allows me to wake up each day and work on things I am passionate about,” Kay said. “That’s exciting and it just fits with who I am at my core”. She has one goal going into this new position and that is to have a positive impact on our community and drive business development. She leads with listening and understanding, and then works together to find a solution.

She says that people don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care. “I am excited to meet our business owners and dive in to help them succeed!”

We also want to thank Cristina Sheppard-Decius of POW! Strategies, Inc., for helping the Romeo DDA the past five months during this transition and conducting the search for our next Executive Director. Her 25 years of experience in downtown management have put Downtown Romeo on a path for success! Cristina will be assisting with the on-boarding of the new Executive Director, working on wrapping up a few key projects through December, and continuing to provide the Romeo DDA with guidance through mid-January.
